When race day arrives, driver and crew look to their crew chief to guide them through the events of the day. Jeff Hammond, a crew chief in NASCAR for over 32 years, knows something about planning and preparing for big events. Hammond began his racing career changing tires in 1974. A few years later, Hammond was in command as crew chief, earning 43 wins, six championships and a Daytona 500 Victory during his career. His television career is now showing that same success with an Emmy nomination as ‘top analyst’ for his work with NASCAR on FOX and SPEED TV.
