Nearly three years ago, Sheridan Ridge started as an idea for a private mountain escape catering to a small number of motorsports drivers, teams and affiliates. A place to get away from the “pedal to the metal” lifestyle they live on a weekly basis. Project founders and visionaries embarked on a journey to find the ideal location and property for this escape. It would have to be close to the Charlotte metro area (where many NASCAR teams are based), have access to a private airstrip, be in close proximity to several tracks and afford the charm and beauty of Appalachia. Most importantly, the property had to offer exactly what everyone so desperately needed – a place for family, fun, relaxation and adventure on their terms. Through this process, the project we now know as Sheridan Ridge Private Reserve took shape.
